The Twins!!

In the waiting room of the hospital, I love this picture!

First bath, don't they look thrilled?!

So now that the twins are officially two weeks old I need to find a moment to tell the story about their birth. On June 28th at 1 pm Troy and I went to the hospital for my schedule c-section. I have to say I think it is great to know exactly when their ETA was, due to the fact the I have a 6 year old. All went smoothly but I tend to get extremely nauseous and had to be given extra medication that made me really sleepy. In the operating room Troy came over to show me the twins and I was so out of it that I said, “Something must be wrong with my eyes I am seeing two?” In each my husband informed me because there is two. I was also informed that Ameree had a full on knot in her umbilical cord?! How in the world that happened I don’t know. While they were sewing me up I asked where did my husband and the twins go? The nurse told me that they went to get something done (I don’t remember) and that my husband went with them, then she said that I think your husband is just a little overwhelmed. “Oh, because he is crying?” Yes, she said, and I told her well that is just my husband. Troy was overcome with so much emotions he could barely smile ( I thought about posting that pic but, I don't think he would like that so much). This is something I admire about Troy, you can cut his arm off and he wont shed a tear but, when it comes to his children he is a little baby.

We spent four days in the hospital and had many visitors. Thank you all who came to visit and share that moment with us. Gavin came several times and only wanted to hold the boy. This does seem odd being that Gavin loves the ladies! He was adorable with them and was so excited to be a big brother. While in the hospital they come around and take pictures of the newborns and over the years they have really stepped this photography session up. We were able to make Gavin and officially big brother button. The twins also bought Gavin an awesome Nerf gun Wii game. This was a big hit when we got home!

It was such a great fulfilling experience and I am so glad to have two more adorable additions to our family!!!
