This year for Christmas we decided we would make capalletti’s. They were delicious as to be expected. I honestly have to say my family makes the most phenomenal food. We are so blessed to have such amazing cooks! We all got together to make the main dish at my aunt Liz’s home. Being pregnant I had to have some during the process because I am like a ravenous pig at times. The result, a happy and full pregnant women. It was a wonderful time together. Having the women in my family helping makes you really appreciate one another. There are many times throughout life that are embedded in my mind and this makes the list.
Christmas Eve was amazing and full of love. After enjoying the scrumptious meal we gathered around the family room for some stories and games. We always try to wait until midnight to open any gifts, which is huge challenge for the kids. After which we enjoy stuffing ourselves more with dessert. It is filling just thinking about the amount of food we eat. It was a lovely Christmas Eve with wonderful family.
Gavin helped me make Christmas cookies for Santa and dessert. As you can tell I did not make home made cookies, it is was a lot easier to have Gavin help this way. So when we got home from Christmas Eve we set the cookies out and went to bed. As usual we had to wake Gavin up for Santa. This could be because we stay up so late the night before. Gavin was so excited for his gifts but, to be honest he always likes the small gifts the best. I really love this about him! Don’t misunderstand me he definitely enjoys his larger one too but he was more excited about candy land and a foot ball then his razor.
Troy bought me a rug doctor for Christmas which was so thoughtful, being that I have been wanting a professional carpet cleaner forever. Oh how life changes as you grow up, I now am more excited about new cleaning products and amazing ways to clean them then anything else. That is most likely because cleaning is all I seem to do these days!
It was another great holiday!!!
